Mitilda Henderson b 1820 IN- her mother may have been named Anna. Mitilda Henderson married Joseph Clark 1838 Fayette Co, IN- he died in 1843. Mitilda Henderson Clark married Charles Madison 1845 Hancock Co, IN Mitilda, Charles and many of her Clark descendants moved to Harrison Co, MO and died there. Harrison County is very near the Iowa border. In fact, one of Mitilda's sons, Joseph Marion Clark, probably joined the Union from Iowa. Not sure if MO was more neutral or ? My Joshua H. Henderson was born in Indiana, but he enlisted in the Union army in Polk City, Iowa in 1861 (Aug 21) He was 22 years of age. For a book I am working on I am trying to locate an Earl Henderson who was born in 1925 in Cleveland Ohio and was given up to the Mount Sinai Hospital's foundling ward in January of 1926. Mary Jane is the only Henderson I have in my line at the time. She married my grandfather in Independence Co. Arkansas, had a brother named James who was a twin to her or one of their siblings.

No, I don't know of any Hawkins, Mary Jane is the only Henderson I have so far, she married my grandfather Asa Gibson in Independence County, Arkansas in the Newark area and they lived there the rest of their lives. Wm.L. Henderson, s/o John H. and Margaret Busick was b. 1835 Orange co, IN. First m. Hannah Caroline Lee, she died 1882 and then he m. Martha Hancock in 1884. He died before 1900 (prob ca 1890). Would like to know where and when died. Cannot find gravesite in Orange Co, but believe he died there as his children remained there (Paoli). His son Lee (Wm. and Caroline) m.
