I am primarily using Census Records and when everyone has the same last name it gets to be very difficult to map out. If anyone has this mess mapped out already I would appreciate a hand. I am down to William G. Henderson on one end born in 1806. I am also looking up Robert Hendeson born 1834 and T.B Henderson born 1810. The problem here is that the Henderson family in Taylor County is very intermarried. I have 2 consecutive generations of Henderson men marrying Henderson women. Yikes!!!!HELP

Surnames: HENDERSON, JONES Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/yNi.2ACEB/4129 Message Board Post: Jonathan Henderson is on the 1810 Pendleton Dist., SC census with young children. He (probably the same Jonathan) next appears on the Knox Co KY tax rolls in 1825. A few years later William, Edward, Charles, James, and Christopher also appear. My ancestor is James M and he married Charlotte Jones in Clay Co KY in 1832...and they left soon after for Indiana and then to MO in 1837 where they became Mormons. Their children William, John, and my ancestor, Eunice. Charlotte died in 1840 in Nauvoo IL and James remarried to a Rachel Judd and then he died in 1845 and Rachel raised the children for several years. Her statement made to a friend was "a brother of my Henderson husband came and got the children and took them to California". Does anyone have a Knox Co Henderson who went to CA...Rachel said that he and his wife had two children...a boy and a girl. Bonny McDaniel
I believe my immigrant Henderson to have been my great grandfather Oliver Mowbray Henderson, born in Leith in 1884 and died in Chicago in 1970. He had married Agnes Cochran, born in Faulkirk in 1884, and died in Chicago in 1966. His father was Robert Henderson, born in Lerwick in 1860 and died in 1946. His mother was Elizabeth Mary Sinclair, born in 1862 in Clousta and died in 1948. This was part of a chain of alternating Roberts and Olivers that started in 1809. -- Douglas Flummer Carbondale, Illinois "You will ever remember that all the end of study is to make you a good man and a useful citizen. This will ever be the sum total of the advice of your affectionate father." -- John Adams, in a letter to John Quincy Adams, 1781
Dont open the email. If you have a virus protection (which you all should!!) then your computer won't open the infected email. There is a "worm" going around a few of the lists. I have installed two different virus protection programs. Well worth it! There are a number of sites which you can go to and acquire, for free a virus-protection standard/basic software. Good luck. judy7@bellsouth.net wrote: This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Douglas, Can you tell us who your immigrant ancestor HENDERSON was? That way, we might know if it is one of our lines.
