Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/yNi.2ACEB/5488.1 Message Board Post: The Washington State Secretary of State has an excellent site for listing vital statistics. You maybe able to find your information there. Also, please be aware that the University of Idaho at Moscow Idaho holds lots of Washington State records. This school is right on the state line with Washington and only a few mins from Spokane. BYU also has a good website listing some of the statistics for Washington/Idaho location. Not sure how to get to it but think the last time I tried I searched the Idaho Free Press. Also, search this Henderson message board for the word "Oregon". There are lots of messages here with info. Hope this helps.

    1. Phyllis Louise Henderson
    2. Laura Thomas
    3. Hi Listers, Someone in the USA has to be related to Phyllis. She was born in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England about 1892. Her parents were Harry & Ellen Henderson (nee Pittaway). She left England for a holiday with relatives in Canada in the early 1900s. She was unable to return to the UK, and married a Dutch man in Canada. She moved to Washington DC at some point, and lived near Spokane. She had several children of her own, but also fostered many others. She was also a prizewinner in the country fairs, for jams & suchlike that she'd made. One of her foster sons was called Ivan. He joined/was conscripted into the American Army, & was posted to Germany, and was there around 1954. Ivan had a friend named George, and they visited Cyril Henderson (Phyllis's brother) in Ruislip, Middlesex, England in 1954/55. Cyril's wife was named Ruth. Phyllis had several siblings - Nellie, Madeline (known as 'Did'), Lily, Harry (who died 1892, aged 14 months) & Cyril (my grand-dad, born 1901). I haven't been able to find Phyllis in passenger lists, and as I don't know her married name, there's been no point looking in censuses. Anyone who thinks they're linked to Phyllis - I'd love to hear from you! I have loads of family history to share with you! Regards, Ellie (In Middlesbrough, England)
