    3. Ladonna, are there any Michael or George Christian names in your family chart? We've been searching through Michael Henderson, possible son George, William, Zachariah, for years associated with early GA records to end up chasing around and around. That's Hendersons for you <g>. It's a long shot, but one never knows with this clan. 3. Hi, Sandy. I am also researching the Hendersons from early Hinds County. Maybe we can help each other. My grandmother's maiden name was Henderson. She was born in Hasse, Comanche County, TX in 1911 to William Clarence Henderson and Hattie Craig. William Clarence Henderson was the son of Zachariah Henderson and Alice Cooper. William was born August 1887 in Hasse, TX. His father, Zachariah, was born about 1863 in Texas, possibly Coryell County. Zachariah's father was Joseph H. Henderson, b. December 1833, possibly Hinds County, MS, but definitely Mississippi. Joseph married Aletha Cummings about 1853 in Arkansas. Joseph's father was Zachariah William Henderson, born about 1795 in Georgia. He married Sarah Ann Ford, daughter of James and Isabella Ford, on April 5, 1828 in Hinds County. Zachariah died between 1850-1860 in Arkansas. At least, I have been unable to find him in census records after that. I have been unable to go further back than Zachariah William Henderson. However, there was another Zachariah (I've seen his name as Zachy in one instance) who was in that area of Mississippi before Zachariah William appeared there in the 1830 Hinds County census. This Zachariah's wife's name was Elizabeth. At his death, he left 3 slaves to her. My Zachariah also had 3 slaves a few years later, and a woman other than his wife was living with them. That female may have been his mother, Elizabeth, if she was indeed his mother. Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you. Ladonna Viertel
