He was born in TN (father James), she in KY, and they moved to MO prior to living in Alexander County, Illinois. My question relates to their family backgrounds. My father, Lonnie, always said we had Indian/Native American ancestors somewhere down the line, but other than our Native American faces/complexions I can't place who or where they may have entered the family. He even called me from England to try to talk me into doing it but you know what they say " there's no right way to do a wrong thing" I was just trying to see if I really was related somehow to this deceased man but I don't believe I was. Terry, Thank you for the speedy response. It seems, per this newspaper notice, that Austin has no descendants, not what I had hoped for. The name of the wife, Dorothy Wood Newell listed here, does not match the name of his wife given on the 1930 census, Vivian R.? Therefore, Dorothy may be a second wife. The point is no doubt moot, as children or grandchildren are not mentioned in the article. He was listed as living of East Main Street in 1930, same street as in 1990. The Cornish People were miners near Mexico City.generations ago.and this is odd The Henderson's were Scottish people some living in Newcastle,Northlumberton,England. John Wesleylan converted a lot of the Cornish miners.They loved being methodists,insisting on having protestant religious ceremonies in Catholic, Mexico.This in itself was a accomplishment.But Scottish people were primerly Presbyterian.so none of makes real sence.unless,there are Cornish in the line like mine.
