I treated myself to a "medical dictionary" (paperback) during the summer. Out of curiousity, I just looked up hydrophobia. The first definition is: a morbid dreaad of water ! The second definition is: rabies. Betty (near Lowell, MA) (My HENDERSON ancestor left County Sligo, Ireland, in 1823 and went to Canada, settling in Quebec Province.) I'm particularly interested in his Revolutionary War service and an old family letter mentioned by John Lair in one of his newspaper articles, but any information on him would be most appreciated. My goal is to get an as accurate-as-possible view of this early Rockcastle County settler.
