My only Hendershot interest is Harvey Hendershot, who married Elizabeth Baker. Elizabeth Baker was b. Jan. 7, 1833. Her father was Benjamin Baker. I am trying to determine who her mother was. I suspect Sarah Winland, daughter of Jacob Winland, based on the evidence of Elizabeth Hendershot (and her three elder siblings) being named in the legal documents dealing with Jacob Winland's will after the death of their mother. I am hoping that some Hendershot researcher may have an obituary of Elizabeth which would name her mother or other relatives, which might help. Eliz.'s father remarried in 1844 to Katharine Farnsworth, however he has three children prior to 1844 & after 1833, & we don't know who their mother was. Possibly they were Katharine's from a prior marriage? Or his from an interim marriage? Perhaps some descendants/researchers of Harvey Hendershot can help. Thanks! Sandy Frykholm frykholm@olypen.com
