I found the Chauncey R. somewhere and I thought maybe that was him. We were always told the name used to be Hendershot, but I have no idea when. The one thing I found was a death certificate that Chauncey Hendershaw died at 43 in 1898 in Reading, Pa. and was born in Lebanon NJ ( I think that's Hunterdon County NJ.). The death certificate says his dad's name was Chauncey. I don't know whether that was a guess on the undertaker's part. There is no last name and no mom's name. My grandfather Arnold was born in White House NJ. Dec. 12, 1893. I know that's Hunterdon County. Arnold's mom was Mary Reed born April 8, 1855. Mary and Chauncey had 9 or 12 children. The oldest Jesse then (no order) Lela, Lillian, Florence, Russell, Arnold ... I found marriage licenses for the three girls in Berks Co. Pa. I've always heard all the girls lived to be 100 or close to it. My grandfather lived most of his adult life in the Bronx, NY. Any help greatly appreciated.
