Just before my mother went really blank from lots of small strokes, she told us one Christmas that her maiden name was Hendershot. We were shocked because she had always said it was Stevens. Her father was T. Hendershot and I did find a picture of him with PaPa written on it. Her mother evidently was divorced from T. Hendershot when my mother and her Sister were young. The mother then married a man by the name of Stevens. Don't know his first name. My mother's name was Tessie Yvonne and her sister was Eva Maxine. Her mothers name was Mary Caroline Johnson or Mary Clarice Johnson. My mom always said it was Mary Caroline and Eva told her kids it was Mary Clarice. Mary Carolyn died of influenza about 1916 in Kansas City, Mo. We have been hunting for T. Hendershot for years. Don't know if he was Thomas, Truman or whatever. Mary Carolyn's parents were John (Jone) Johnson b. 1828 in Vaagen farm, Kopervig, Norway. and Anna Margaret Daniellson, Kopervig, Norway. If this helps anyone to identify T. Hendershot I would be so greataful. Thanks, Mary Fike Woolery mwoo855777@aol.com
