Dear Barbara, I don't know what to tell you. The Hendershot Genealogy by William E. Hendershott only has one Mary Hendershot who married a Minegar. And he only followed the Hendershot men. John who is the father of Mary was born on the Millstone River, Franklin Twp Somerset Co NJ. They were members of St. James Lutheran church on the taxables Greenwich Twp. 1774. Have you checked any of the Lutheran Church records for the area around western NJ PA and Virginia? We have a Hendershot organization with over 100 people and we did not have this information except what is in the Fortney book. Have you written to Loren Varga his address is loren_varga@merck.com ?
