I live in N.E. Arkansas and my ancestors lived in this area also. My ggf was John Toddy had a brother James Toddy (this is the one your looking for) and a sister Laura Toddy. As you know the different spelling of the name makes it a real challenge to trace. My ggf John Toddy just seems to appear in Independence Co. AR to marry in 1870. I've found records that show him born in 1845, 1853 & 1854! I've just started tracing James Toddy's family a couple of weeks ago, so some of this is research and some came from family.
