I forgot about this post. Since then I have made the connection to Billy to his father Carlo! Letty's maiden name was CRAWFORD, Carlo's mother's maiden name was VAUGHN, they were living with them at that time and someone made the mistake as to putting Vaughn instead of Crawford! Thru my research my line is as follows: John Helton / Barbara Shephard Elisha Helton/ Esther "Hetty" Osbourne Elijah Helton / Louisa Vaughn Carlo W. Helton / Letty Crawford Billy Helton / Charlotte Burke (my grandparents) I have a copy of the marriage cert. for Carlo & Letty but never got a chance to get Billy's birth certificate yet. Thanks for the #'s. The name Aaron is a speculation from others, I too have yet to find a link to this name! There was a few Elijah Helton's at the time frame of mine & yours, but I now have it documented that my Elijah b/ May 1861 married Louisa Vaughn in 1881 and had 3 children: Carlo, Camile & Ida. and his parents were Elisha Helton & Esther Osbourne.
