The funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Hopper Funeral Home. ===== Barbourville On-Line. Kentucky Alvin E. Helton, 74, of Taylor, Mich., and formerly of Cranes Nest, passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001 in the Oakwood Hospital. He was the son of the late Charlie F. and Mary Ellen Black Helton. He was a member of the Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Genivive Warman Helton of Taylor, Mich.; his children Genell Mills of Barbourville; Brenda McNally and husband Dale of Maryville, Tenn., Jerry Helton of Jupiter, Fla., Bob Warman and wife Darlene of South Gate, Mich., Ron Allen of Taylor, Mich., Sandra Staples and husband Rick of Sterling Heights, Mich., Diana Smiddy and husband John of Union, Judy West and husband Tony of Barbourville, Alvin Lee Helton of Detroit and Mary Ellen Copley and husband Timothy also of Detroit; his brothers Clifton Helton and wife Shirley of Corbin, Doug Helton and wife Jeanie of Barbourville and Charles Helton and wife Joyce of London; four sisters Carolyn Smith and husband Rev. Bert Smith of London, Doris Carty and husband Jack of Middletown, Ohio, Janice Kinman and husband Roger of Indianapolis and Barbara Evans of Ontario, Canada; 17 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Jan. 12 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Bert Smith and the Rev. Dennis Chesnut officiating. Burial followed in the Helton Cemetery. Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. =====
