Mr. Helton was a son of the late David and Ailene Helton. He was retired from Shepard Construction Co. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Christian Church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Nell Helton; two sons, Mike Helton, Winder, and Rick Helton, Canton; a sister, Essie Holcomb, Winder; and four grandchildren.
