Dear Helton Listers: I have recently discovered my son's Helton roots and I was wondering if anyone recognized Eliza Ann Helton b. ca 1832 possibly VA, married 1st Jul 24 1851 Hezekiah Hammon d. 8 Aug 1864 Confederate Prison Hospital, Richmond, VA, married 2nd 8 Sept 1868 Magoffin Co, Benjamin Montgomery. Could she be the child of George Helton, b. abt 1793 VA d. 24 Dec 1864 Magoffin Co., KY and his wife Melinda/Malinda Wade b. 1795-1800 VA? Many researchers have listed children for this couple, but no one has ever listed Eliza Ann Helton. It's quite possible tht she doesn't belong to this couple. Anyone have suggestions or the answer???
