Thanks to everyone for all your help. The letter written in 1910 by Alfred's wife said that his great grand father, William was married to an Elizabeth. This Elizabeth, according to the letter, was a sister to England's Queen Ann. I did find that Ann of Denmark had a sister named Elizabeth but the dates (early 1600s) don't seem to fit. There was supposed to be an estate at one time. I just thought it was wishful thinking. Everyone wants to be related to someone important. Has this story been passed down in anyone else's family?
