HEATON, a blacksmith, b. 7 Feb 1810 Philadelphia (according to his death record), d 10 Feb 1890 Emerson, Jefferson Co., OH; buried Short Creek Quaker Cemetery, Jefferson Co., OH; father born PA, and mother born NJ according to the 1880 Census records. Abner married 29 Oct 1832 Lower Makefield, Bucks Co., PA Elizabeth HEATON (daughter of William and Ann [Mather] HEATON). Elizabeth was b. 20 Oct 1809 Westhoughton, Lanc. Co., England and her line has been documented back into the late 1500s. Abner and Elizabeths children were Mary Ann b. PA 1835, Elizabeth b. PA 1837, Lucy b. PA 1838, Samuel H. b. OH 1842, Amanda M. b. OH 1844, J. Cornelius b. OH 1848, and Jennie M. b. OH 1853.
