I am trying to find any other Family for William Heaton and Amelia Maria both born 1808.They married in March 1832 and had Henry William in 1833 in Bradford and Emily in 1837 in Leeds.Any others? They appear on the 1851Census in Halifax at Copley Gate,Skircoat William 42/Master worsted spinner born Leeds( his father is given as John on marriage record) Amelia 42/wife/ born Halifax (nee Walsh -parents Robert andAnn) Henry 17/worsted spinner/born Bradford. (Emily not in Halifax at that time.) On the 1881 census Amelia widow 73 and Emily single 43 are in St Pancras,London in a boarding house. Elenor Heaton born Oct 1837 at Knaresborough/Wetherby- parents William Heaton and Elizabeth. She had married my great grandfather Joseph William Pearce born in Poole, Dorset. She died aged 43 in March 1881 in that census he is coachman/39 in Paddington,London with Edwin Heaton Pearce aged 16, Mary aged 2/ born in France and Amelia M Heaton niece /24--I presume acting as nursemaid/housekeeper to the child. I think Eleanor might have just died in childbirth as a. there are also 2 nurses /servants in the boarding house b. 3 children with the right names were born & died in London then-although some in the next door district. They were Eleanor/Henry and Alice(After Josephs mother)? I believe Amelia 73 is a cousin by marriage/aunt/great aunt to Eleanor and Amelia /24 but cannot find the link Amelia 24/ the niece married my great grandfather in Sept 1881 and had my grandmother Amelia Annie in Yorkshire in 1884 She died having Gertrude in 1887 in Sheffield Joseph-coachman to a wealthy family -later married Elizabeth(after 1891 census when he is in lodgings with Mary and Amelia A.) and had Cicely in Bangor N Wales-she is 8 on the 1901 census. Edwin was unmarried /37 on 1901.I couldn't find Mary then. I would be pleased to hear from anyone with any links. Sue
