Hi good to se some activity on this list. My Heatons were also English, but I haven't been able to get past my ggrandfather who was in Rutherford and Williamson counties born in 1831 and died in 1910. Also was listed as Eaton in several censuses. My Heaton was Samuel Joseph Heaton/Eaton. Married to Mary T. Adams. They had three sons Frank, Thomas and Samuel Jr. He also had a sister named Lucinda Elizabeth b. about 1833. who was married to David McDowell. Any one out there researching Tennessee Heatons/Eatons?
