Sue - The following information is from "The Heaton Families" by Dean Heaton (p. 100): Jonathan Heaton, son of James. He was born in 1783, perhaps in Bucks County PA but spent his youth in Loudoun County VA. Like his father, he was a doctor. It appears that he practiced medicine in Loudoun County his entire life. He married Patience Osborne, the sister of his father's second wife. Patience was born in VA in 1796, the daughter of Abner Osborne and Patience Sinclair. Patience died in Loudoun County in 1855. Jonathan acquired a fine old manor house at Round Hill, Virginia called Woodgrove. The house was previously owned by Col. Nicholas Osborne. Woodgrove stayed in the Heaton family until 1890, and still stands today. Dr. Jonathan died in Loudoun County in 1841. Children include Nathaniel, Elizabeth R., James, Abraham S., Amanda Mary Ann, Harriet, Henry, Louisa, and Virginia. There is more detail regarding the children if you would like it.
