    1. Am I a subscriber?
    2. I have unsubscribed to some of my mailing list but unfortunately I didn't remove those from my address book. I know, DUH! Anyway, is there some way I can find out if I'm on a list? And it's hard to tell by whether I'm receiving mail or not cause some mailing list are so inactive that it would take a national emergency to get them going. Thank you

    1. HEATON - IL Marr. to 1850
    2. Hi List - Found this site online the other day and thought it just might help someone on the list with their research - good luck! ============================================================ Illinois Marriages to 1850 http://www.ancestry.com/search/rectype/inddbs/2086.htm ````````````````````````````` Description: This database of Illinois marriages to 1850 contains over 155,000 names. Each entry includes groom, bride, marriage date, county, and state. Every name is indexed so you can search for one name, or two names that are linked. The marriage date is usually the date of marriage as given in the original entry. However, when no marriage date is given (e.g., the "marriage return" was not provided to the record keeper), the date of the license is used. In a few cases, a marriage will be listed twice, but in two different counties. This most often happened when a couple obtained a license in one county, but were actually married in another. These marriage records, compiled by Liahona Research at the LDS Family History Library in Salt Lake City, UT, unfortunately do not contain citations for the origin of each entry. The purpose of this database is to provide a time and place for as many marriages as possible. It is up to the researcher to examine original records (see the Family History Library Catalog--available at any LDS family history center-- under the heading "Vital Records" for the appropriate locality) and gather whatever additional genealogical information is desired. ============================================================= Illinois Adams County Heaton, Paterson married Ward, Sarah on 16 Apr 1835 in Adams County, Illinois Crank, John married Heaton, Minerva on 08 Sep 1836 in Adams County, Illinois Heaton, Vardamon married Hudson, Mary Ann on 03 Nov 1842 in Adams County, Illinois Heaton, Millison married Wheeler, Radford H. on 06 Aug 1844 in Adams County, Illinois Illinois Boone County Bills, Abigal Adelia married Heaton, Thomas on 26 May 1847 in Boone County, Illinois Heaton, S. 1. How do I start a Roll Call for this List?
    2. Last night when I asked this question I was hoping the list masters would reply to me before sending it out to the list. I asked the question because I wasn't sure how or who could start a "roll call". Now some list masters have informed me they are the ones that do it and it was rude of me to do it without them. Well, I didn't mean to step on toes that's why I asked the question to begin with. Secondly, others told me that I was to just put it out there and it would start itself. Again I apologize if I started something you didn't want to deal with right now. I think it would help if each list master was to send me their email and name so I can ask questions directly to them from now on. I would appreciate this. Also since I did ask the question and it was sent out I have had several people write to ask what a "roll call" is, so if you could explain it to your respectful list that would be good too. Thank you for your time, Cindy

    3. CINDY ... with the other lists I subscribe to, someone just says, "Let's do I roll call .. here's mine:" So with that .... here's mine: I'm looking for information on William Connor HEATON b: 14 Aug 1828, probably in Hamilton Co, IN, d: 7 March 1893 in Frankfort, Clinton Co, IN. William is buried in Greenlawn Cemetary, in Frankfort, Clinton Co, IN. William's father may have been David HEATON ... a David signed a consent when William married his first wife, Mary Ann WAGGAMON 17 Aug 1848 in Clinton Co, Indiana. I know of only one child they had together (Daniel W.), and Mary Ann died before 1868. William's second wife was Mary Ellen LOONEY MAISH, daughter of John Looney & Matilda Ann WARD, and the widow of Joseph MAISH. Together, William and Mary Ellen had only one child that I know of, my great-grandmother Martha Ellen HEATON, born in Clinton Co, IN. (Mary Ellen had children by her first husband.) That's all the information I have on my HEATONS, although I have a little more on Daniel W. HEATON, half-brother of Martha Ellen. Will be glad to share if that connects with anyone! 3. John HEATON, b. Hardwick township, Sussex County, NJ in 1754 and married Anne DRAKE of Independence, Sussex County in 1789. Anne was the daughter of Joseph Drake of Roxbury Township.
