They "left their native land (England) March 11, 1851 to seek a home in the U. S. of North America." They lived in Southern Indiana until 1870. There were 7 known children. (When they left England, only 2, one of which died at sea, and the other either at sea, or shortly after their arrival.) George was born at William Calvers farm Smith Twp., Posey Co. IN. George died in Burden, KS. at abt. 71 years of age. and is buried at the Burden Cemetery.
