One of my given forenames is Headley and was passed on from my father, John Headley Thomas Jones. There are no Headleys in the family prior to my Fathers birth in 1910 in Cardiganshire Wales. I have traced a possible connection to a parish Llanfihangel-y-Creuddyn in Cardiganshire wher the vicar was a Revd William Headley as from 1904.At that time my paternal grandmother Elizabeth Jones had a family connection in that parish. As my father was the 1st born of 5 children I believe he was given the Headley name in respect to the vicar. Revd William Headley is buried in the churcyard at LL-y-C and two of his daughters, Mary and Rosalie Ann are buried together in the churchyard of Llanilar which is less than 20 miles from LL-y-C. This is all in Cardiganshire Wales, so would be interested to hear from any other 'Cardy' Headleys.
