Franklin b. Zanesville, OH on 3 May 1833 who married Simon S. Powell about 1850. His parents were Isaac Powell and Anna Harris - both families being early settlers of what would eventually become Noble Co., OH. Nathan Franklin also was an early settler. Children of Simon and Elizabeth E. (Franklin) Powell: 1. son unknown, 2. Wallace, 3. Harney, 4. Cortez, 5. Nate, 6. Elizabeth, 7. Wilbur, 8. Zitlow, 9. Zeula My grandmother taught us that her grandmother Elizabeth E. Franklin aka 'Betty' descended from (THE) Benjamin Franklin as his 3x-great neice. Can you confirm this is the same line as your Mary Franklin?
