    2. Dear Rosana: I found more Headley relatives of Holly's from the New Gretna area.... not the exact ones that you are looking for, but closer in the time period that you mentioned....so they must be related somehow. Have you gotten any more information on this line since you posted this letter in November 1999? Thanks, Joe

    3. Ditto for emails from this address. It's the SirCam32 virus-- the message is usually something along the lines of "I need your advice on these" and contains, as Leona says, two attachments. 1. [HEADLEY] Re: Coat of Arms
    2. According to A.J.W. Headlee, Author of The Headlee Family, the original Headlees were sheep farmers from northern England, thus were very unlikely to have a coat of arms.

    1. [HEADLEY] Re: Stifle Family
    2. Hello Jim, when I saw some of the entries you made on the message board I had a feeling that was you. I am your Aunt Mae's g-daughter. A few years after my father, your cousin passed away I began to do some family searching. I found your mother and went to meet her. She was very kind to me, and we planned to meet again. I never heard from her after that. I did remember her telling me she had a son James or Jimmy. So when I saw your name it rang a bell. I don't have any info about that side of my family. Would love to hear from you. My email Kadev@webtv.netKathy DeVault

    1. [HEADLEY] Re: Stifle Family
    2. I have contacted Bob Smith at Bob.Smith@victorreinz.com, and have exchanged info.Albert's Grandparents were; John E. Stifle (1831) & Rebecca Boyels (1834). Albert's Father is the son of Stephen Stifle (1803) & Mary Misner (1808) I may have made a error in my post but this as I have found them in the census.

    1. [HEADLEY] Thomas or Francis Headley
    2. I just recently found a second reference that listed my Francis Headley as Thomas Headley. Does anyone have any information on a Thomas Headley that may fit the following family? Francis (possibly Thomas) Headley was born Jan. 17, 1800 in either PA or OH. He moved to Canada about 1818. By Dec. 24, 1824 he was married to Ann Meredith, daughter of Charles and Miriam (Griffin) Meredith), living in Grimsby Twp., Lincoln Co., Ontario. They then moved to Garafraxa Twp. Wellington Co., Ontario. Children were: Phebe Ann (born 1824), Miriam Ann (born 1826), male (born abt 1828), Rachel (born abt. 1832), Chauncey W. (born Dec. 1832), Barbara Ann (b. abt 1838), Louisa Ann (born 1840), Elizabeth Ann (born abt 18430), Francis Headley (b 14 Jan. 1844) and Emma J. (born 1853). The family lived in Ontario until about 1865 when they moved to Otter Creek Twp. Eau Claire WI, where Francis died May 21 1876. Any information that may led to Francis' parents would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Phyllis Magelky Patphy@aol.com

    1. [HEADLEY] Re: Stifle Family
    2. Have you communicated with Robert and Linda Smith about the descendants of Stephen Stifle? Feb 2000 their email address was boblinda@midwest.net. The information I received from them did not include all the descendents. There was no Albert B. mentioned. There was a George Pendleton Stifle, son of Stephen Jasper, son of Stephen. He had a son Byrl. George was born in 1867 and died in 1914. Could his son Byrl be your mysterious Albert B.? Also, are you certain the Stephan and Mary are the Grandparents of Albert and not the Great Grandparents? If Albert was born in 1891 he could have been the son of one of their younger children or grandson of one of their older children. Did Albert live in Crawford County, IL while growing up? As an adult?
