My Grandmother Sarah Beatrice was adopted by her Aunt and Uncle who were Headley's. The mention of Fergusonville is just a neighborhood, down the road from Newportville, both are in Bristol, Bucks County, PA. There are still Headley's living in the same neighborhood that my Grandmother was raised in, probably the same houses. Laura Anna M. Dawicki Bucks County Courier Times Anna M. Dawicki (nee Headley), age 82, of the Fergusonville section of Bristol Township, died on Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at Silver Lake Nursing Home in Bristol. I have a Samuel Headley Boyer, son of Samuel Boyer and Letitia Barton of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I also have their grandson, Charles Headley White, son of John Watson White (of Philadelphia) and Frances Barton Boyer (of Bucks County). Letitia Barton Boyer was the daughter of Thomas Barton and Rebecca Cooper, both of Bucks County, PA. Rebecca was the daughter of Joseph Cooper and Elizabeth Severns, also of Bucks County. If anyone has a Headley-Cooper-Barton connection, please let me know. Thank you.

(*) at the death of Charles, 7th Lord Headley, younger son of Rowland, 5th Lord Headley. (Charles's son, John, died unmarried in 1990.) The 1st Lord Headley was the great-grandson of Sir George Winn, who was created a Baronet in 1660. Sir George's descendants are also extinct in the male line, since the death of Sir Edmund Mark Winn, 7th Baronet (a distant cousin of Charles Winn-Allanson, 2nd Lord Headley) in 1833. It is possible that there are female-line descendants, either from Sir George Winn, 1st Baronet, or from Sir Edmund Mark Winn, 7th Baronet, or from the 1st Lord Headley (he did not have surviving male children by his first wife, although he might have had female children by her). And finally, there might be female-line descendants from Charles Allanson-Winn, 4th Lord Headley(*), or from the 7th Lord Headley. (For the 7th Lord's complete issue, I'd have to check the 1970 edition *Burke's Peerage and Baronetage*, but I don't have a copy at home.) (*) his only child and heir was Avis Millicent Blennerhasset Allanson-Winn. Avis married twice (1st, Herbert D. H. Crosse, and 2nd, Llewellyn Johnes Llewellyn), but I don't know if she had children or if she left descendants. You'll find some information about Rowland George Allanson-Winn, 5th Lord Headley, Baron Allanson and Winn (not "Rowland George Allanson Allanson-winn,Baron Headley 5th baron of Headley") on the Internet. See, for example, the following sites: http://www.muslim.org/woking/headley.htm http://www.bbc.co.uk/education/beyond/factsheets/makhist/makhist6_prog2a.shtml The Lords Headley had (at least, in 1883) estates in Ireland (county Kerry) and in England (Yorkshire and Essex). Their principal residences were Aghadoe House, near Killarney, in county Kerry, and Warley Lodge, Little Warley, in Essex. Finally, my source for the Lords Headley and their ancestors/relatives the Baronets Winn was *The Complete Peerage*, 2nd edition, Vol. VI (pages 429-431) and Vol. XIV (pages 377-378). There will also be genealogical information in older editions of *Burke's Peerage and Baronetage* (editions prior to the 106th edition published in 1999), and in presumably *The Complete Baronetage* (at least, for the Baronets in the family).

He was the son of Benjamin Franklin Headley b. 29/Feb/1832 and Deborah (unk) b.18/Jun/1832. Walter was one of nine children. Benjamin was the son of Samuel Benjamin Headley b.16/Mar/1801 and Mary H. Foster b.ca.1807. Benjamin was one of 12 children. Samuel was the son of John Headley and Mary Mathis. The Headley's, Mathis, Parkers, Loveland, are all part of my ex-husbands family but his sisters are helping me put together the history for all of our children. Some families are very funny when it comes to digging in the past. Show some of this info to your father see if he reacts to it in any way. If you are chasing the wrong family with this one he may say so. I have nothing further on the Walter I listed. I can find nothing further on any combination of the names you stated. What was your mothers full name, maiden name as well. Does she know anymore of this or possibly recognize any of the info I have given you? I assume your father is still living, perhaps also your mother. Any aunts and uncles on either side? You would be surprised at what other family members can provide especially when one member (namely your father) wants to be secretive about his family. I have gained info from some of the oddest places, once from a deceased woman my mother wrote to for years. The postman knew where her family was still living and forwarded it to them. Now I can take part of that line back to the early 1500's in Scotland. What I am trying to say is info can come from the most unlikely places you just have to keep asking. If you try the 1930 census for the Cinncinati area then also go back to that same ward, enumeration district etc. to the 1920 census and then the 1910. Make sure you copy all info exactly as you read it including all the heading info on the census. Page #'s are important too. I will keep this info close at hand and see if I shake anything else out of my tree. If you want to get back to me with any other bits of info you can email me direct <mblack1947@comcast.net> One other thing, if your mother is still alive see if she will let you see and/or copy their wedding license/certificate. If it is just a frameable certificate you can go and get a copy of the license itself. Being the daughter it will most likely be available to you for a fee. Try and get the exact date and place it was issued and the record number. The info on the application for the license may give you alot more to go on. Madeline
