Joyce, Do you have any Upshur Co. Virginia Census' before 1850? I am trying to locate Joshua Smith and his wife Elizabeth. Joshua was 63 in the 1870 Census and 43 in the 1850 Census. I am trying to determine his father and mother. I have been told his father was James Smith from a burial record but I'm not sure and have not seen the record.
