On the same trip we stopped and ate at Hardy's Family Restaurant at Mink Shoals near Charleston. Had wilted lettuce with hot Appalachian dressing. Vinegar, sugar, something else. Want to try it .does anyone have the recipe? Tasted like something my Marion Co. grandmother used to make. On the way home we ate at the American Steak Hose in Clarksburg. Also good.
