    3. On a previous trip to middle WVa I persuaded my often impatient husband to track down where lost river got lost, and found where it come out with a question here.. Last weekend we went from middle Pa. to Charleston. Noticed Lost Creek in Harrison Co.. 350 mile trip is too long to go hunting for and finding lost things. Where does Lost Creek get lost and does it come out again? Jean Smith

    3. Lost Creek in Harrison County - Name was derived from a message carved on a tree along the creek by an early explorer lost in the wilderness. Lost River disappears under Sandy Ridge and reappears about 2 miles away as the headwaters of the Cacapon River. I think this is all in Hardy Co. -----Original Message----- From: Jean Binns Smith [mailto:shejean@pennswoods.net] Sent: Saturday, September 28, 2002 9:40 PM To: HCGS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [HCGS] Lost Creek On a previous trip to middle WVa I persuaded my often impatient husband to track down where lost river got lost, and found where it come out with a question here..
