Hi, Jim We also moved to Brookline, on Fordam avenue at about 1963. My husband lived in Brookline also. We moved to Il. in 1969. All I know about my maternal grandfather is that his name was Fred Recob. He was a veteran in world war one. He was hurt in the war and put on disability. He lived in Morgantown, W.V. I remember them giving my mother a flag. Had to be in the late 1950 that he died. His wife was Ada Mae Nickelson and she died very young. I did find my paternal grandfathers ship. He was Italian and came over to Ellis Island when he was 17 no other family came so that is a dead end that I know. His name was spelled a little different, Thanks for any help, I also wished I had asked questions when I was young to know more about my family.
