Property mapping software   If you have an old deed which describes the property lines with compass headings and distances in rods or chains, etc. the software identified below may be helpful.  This is not an endorsement.  I have not tried it.   The software identification was passed on to us by HCGS member Sharon Sprouse Bramhall and it was identified to her by a cousin who works in the surveying field.  Here is Sharon’s note:   OK - I just heard from my cousin and her husband the surveyor.  (She is his helper on many occasions).   Here's what she said:    "As for the plat software....
