    3. Sharon & Charlotte and others who are probably related to each other, You should consider taking an autosomal DNA test. Females and males can take it - it's based on 95 percent of all your DNA and covers all your ancestral lines (the Y-DNA & mtDNA tests only cover a small part of your ancestry. It reports Matches based on shared DNA, and a way to contact them - these Matches are probably your cousins from one of your ancestors. You have to share info with them to determine the Common Ancestor - hey, it's what we genealogists do. This test also makes a great gift - it's definitely a family project, new results are reported monthly, it's fun, and it connects you with new cousins. These tests are at lower prices now: www.familytreedna.com: Family Finder test (I prefer this company) www.22andMe.com: test includes medical info, so think about that aspect before ordering. www.ancestry.com: AncestryDNA test, it links your Ancestry Trees. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all, Jim - Sent from my iPhone - FaceTime! The first child of my GGGgrandfather Henry Anderson (1811 MD -1900 Marion Co. WV). . .was James - and don't know anything about him - so I've collected a lot of data on possibilities. > > @ JoAnn - Nope. Don't have any WESTs in my tree - but my GGgrandparents, Newton & Katherine (Kerr) Anderson of Marion County were married by a Rev. James West IN Greene Co. PA. I often wonder why they went THERE to get married - so I'm always looking for the location of Rev. West, since Newton's parents lived in PA for a good while before coming to WV. > From: Joyce Coombs <jac_wv@hotmail.com> > To: "hcgs@rootsweb.com" <hcgs@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Friday, December 21, 2012 2:31 PM > Subject: Re: [HCGS] Geneva M.
