There are several persons that wouldn't mind getting their newsletter by e-mail, but to do a bulk mailing we need 200 copies to be mailed. We still have members that do not have a computer and would need a hard copy. We will work this out at the next meeting. Diana has to have this taken off her shoulders, and it isn't only her, but Ted and David. It is a lot of stress just trying to get enough material to fill up the newsletter. Dick still needs a few Christmas stories. Surely everyone has a Christmas story, a play you were in at school, at least when I went to school we could have Christmas plays, going to your grandparents, your grandmother teaching you how to make cookies, trimming your tree, dropping the ham, oh so many things can make up a good story. We all have them. Ruby, Another group I am in struggled with this same issue. It was finally resolved when we realized that the cost to snail mail to those who did not have computers was less than the cost of the bulk mailing. Is there any possibility that that could be true for HCGS? I think that is a valid point. I have done bulk mailing for our church before. I understand the difficulties involved and completely sympathize with anyone out there trying to tackle a mass mailing. I would think that if even 50% of our members preferred to have the newsletter electronically, then it might be easier to email it to those 50% and snail mail it to those who prefer paper. I think I might prefer email at this time.
