The beautiful state of West Virginia turns 150 years old today. There are celebration events all over the state. HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEST VIRGINIA Ruby

Ruby, I wish I could be there to join in the celebration. I have my WV state flag flying from the flagpole in front of my house, under a 35-star(1863 version) U.S. flag. I graduated from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA, where Francis H. Pierpont received his undergraduate college degree, walking from Virginia to Meadville to get his education. However, I was there 100+ years later than him and I never became governor of anything.
