Thanks, Ruby Ruby, I am trying to connect a BENJAMIN CONGROVE to other Congroves that lived in Harrison County in the early 1800s. Currently I have Benjamin Congrove born in 1819 in Clarksburg. I am trying determine his father or connection to other CONGROVE members from Harrison County. Are there any local records available that might link them together? One theory is that Benjamin Congrove is the son of Elijah Congrove. Any help or direction would be appreciated. Tom Oatney Dayton Ohio

This will probably require a visit to the courthouse and a search though deed records. That's assuming Benjamin's father owned property that descended to his heirs as a group.
