Hello Ashtabula! My mother, Mary Virginia Sprouse, knew Dorothy as well. In fact, she gave Mom a few resource booklets, which I still have. When I saw the "Moffit" name - knowing spelling of a name does not always count - I was reminded of Miss Claire Moffett (1879-1968), a beloved teacher who taught at Summit Park Schools. She was born in West Milford, one of 10 children of George W. and Sarah (West) Moffett. My mother's very close friend was Dorothy Moffitt.......and the Moffitt family is cited in the Van Horn story in this current issue. May I also add that you are to be commended for taking the time and making the effort to include these little anecdotal windows, if you will, into our past. Hiram W.
