    2. Just thinking: A tour of D. C. sounds interesting. How easy will the trip be for those who are mildly handicapped? (can't do steps or walk long distances.) A few extras for a few more dollars could be a good trade off for some. Maybe some more information and discussion would create more interest. Would a two day trip with a less hectic schedule be feasible? Has the information been put on the e-mail list of HCPD, our sister organization in Lewis County? 3. Linda, John, listers all...   We can't do a two-day trip without quite a bit of planning, and for this year's trip it's too late to change the design.  As for the cost, I'd like to keep it low, but without making the society take too bit a hit.  And frankly, it would be nice to break even.   If we had 40 riders at $40 dollars each we would pay for the bus and have a little left over for parking fees.  At the other end of the the scale, if we had 30 riders at $30 each the society would be subsidizing the trip to the tune of more than $600--and at that point someone would surely object.   But the best way to have a low price is to fill up the bus.  It seats 47.  If we can get that many commitments (or nearly) we can lower the price to $35 and the trip will still pay for itself.  If we fall a little short, the subsidy will still be small and no one would object.  So let's put some names on a list.   David H.   --- On Sat, 7/31/10, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: From: [email protected] <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [HCGS] DC Trip To: [email protected] Date: Saturday, July 31, 2010, 2:37 PM Just thinking: A tour of D.
