    1. Re: [HCGS] Geneva M. Phelps book
    2. Hi Sharon, Here we go again--another common ancestor. If you find out anything about the family of James Reed Anderson, please let me know. He is buried in the Elkview Cemetery on Chestnut St and is my husbands great grandfather. I don't know too much about him but maybe we could share some information. James Reed's father was Thomas Anderson from (I think) Maryland. My interest is in the ANDERSON and ANNON families. 1. [HCGS] CHRISTMAS PARTY
    2. Ruby Casto
    3. When I sent my notes last night on the Christmas party there was one most important gift that I forgot to tell you about. Eva Newlon and I worked for Imperial Ice Cream, Div. of Fairmont Foods, back in the early 1950's. Some time ago we were talking about that and she said she had gotten some old milk bottles from that company. I never thought anymore about it but when she came to the party yesterday she handed me a gift bag and said it was for me. I sat it on the floor and didn't open it at that time and later on, she said for me to look to see what was in that bag. She had brought me one of those Imperial quart milk bottles and I certainly do thank her for it. Sometimes we get surprises that we think will never happen. Thanks Eva. Ruby

    1. [HCGS] CHRISTMAS DINNER
    2. Ruby Casto
    3. The Harrison County Genealogical Society held their annual Christmas dinner at the Parkette Restaurant with 18 persons in attendance. I have already told Diana how much I appreciated all of the extra effort she went to. to make this dinner a very special one. She got us all reindeer horns, Santa Claus hats, or elves hats and everyone looked cute in their headgear. When Diana wore hers, we wore ours and when she took hers off, we had to do the same. Bertha helped Diana so we want to thank her also. She had several jars of candy for us to guess how many pieces were in each jar. Roger sure had a knack for doing that. She had a large stocking with 17 items in it that pertained to Christmas and my granddaughter had 9 of the 17 items in the stocking. We had no idea what was in that stocking, just something about Christmas. When we exchanged gifts she read a new way of doing it. We all got what we brought to start out with and the bag she had at each place setting had a number on it and when she read about that number, we were to do what it said. That was neat. Those in attendance were John Jones, Bertha Webb, Betty Waugh, ???? Dennison, Betty Rinehart, Diana Johnson, Polly Dennison, Patricia Dennison, Ted Wolfe, (president) June Conrad, Judy Nicholson, Bobbi Jean Tidd, Jeff Tidd, Ruby Casto, Bobby Casto, Eva Newlon, Roger House and Susan House. Dick has the picture up on the webpage and Diana took separate pictures so she will probably send them to Dick and he can use them also. Ruby
