    1. [HCGS] HCGS membership and dues
    2. Dave Kuhl
    3. HCGS membership and dues   A member recently asked me what the annual dues were and where to see a member application form.  Go to the website, http://www.wvhcgs.com/.    Slide your cursor to the left and scroll down a few inches to where the visitor counter is located.  The counter is white lettering on a black background.  Just above it is the block “Become a Member” “Click here”.    Clicking shows that the current membership dues are $10 per year and where to mail your dues.   If you are not sure if you have paid your dues, check with Ruby.    Whether you are a new member, renewing member or life member, you can copy the membership form at anytime and update your information.  Remember that the HCGS workers are volunteers and that several people are involved in picking up the mail and passing it on to members who record your dues payment and any changes of address.  This process might take a month or more.  So, be patient and follow up by e-mail.  It may take one or more monthly cycles to apply your changes.   PRIVACY  The membership form provides many options for privacy.  We believe that everyone is entitled to their privacy.  However, every “No” box that you check makes it that much more difficult for another member to contact you and it makes it more complicated for the members to apply your preferences.  So, unless it is really important, you should check “Yes”.      You can send in changes to your surname list at any time.  The surname list is printed in the December newsletter and may be updated periodically in the website.  Your comments and suggestion and your contributions to the website and newsletter are always welcome and may be submitted at any time.  Remember that this is your society and that you have a responsibility to contribute what you can to make it a better society.  Dave Kuhl 210 Glen Eagles Drive Ocean Springs, MS 39564-9041 e-mail: dbkuhl@bellsouth.net

    1. [HCGS] UPDATE ON PATRICIA VIELLENAVE
    2. Ruby Casto
    3. Here is the latest update on Patricia Viellenave. We need to continue to remember her in our prayers. Ruby Operation Ventilator Freedom has been completed successfully. About 1030 this morning the doctor actually the Respiratory therapist and nurse removed the ventilator from mom, she coughed a little which is what they wanted and had no problem breathing right away. She started mumbling right away of course we couldn't understand anything. After a little while she was a little more understandable but the drugs they had her on create a little bit of memory issue for her and she asked a few strange questions then whispered things that we couldn't get. When we left the room to go get lunch we came back and found she was asleep which the nurse explained she really needed the sleep so we left her about 2:30 for the day. I did get lots of kisses and smiles and got to feed her apple sauce. As I told one of the neighbors God has answered many prayers over the past two weeks I know he will continue to answer our prayers because he has given us that promise. Please continue to pray for her recovery and know that we all love you. I'll continue to provide updates as she progresses.
