    2. Thanks, I just tried that and got a hot lead on a researcher I've been seeking. She last posted in 1999 and her email address must have changed. I was able to get her birthdate and zipcode for free. Beverly Walter

    1. [HCGS] MyFamily.com
    2. Bryan Emond
    3. Okay I did figure out how to combine the two user names so I can log in with one name and I can access both HCGS' site and the Allegany Cemetery site. If you scroll toward the bottom of the start page, on the right hand side under "utilities" it has a universal login. That is how I combined the two sites under one username. If anybody has information on how to access other genealogy sites thru MyFamily I'd like to know how to do it. Or maybe I should say, how do you find out what other sites are on My Family? Christine

    3. Hi Everybody, I'm hoping someone out there can help me with this because I guess I really don't understand how this website works. Jim, perhaps you can help. I saw your name on the Allegany/Garrett Co. cemetery list as well. I would like to be able to access the HCGS and Allegany/Garrett Co. cemetery sites, but under one user name. Since I am already a member of MyFamily.com, does that mean I can access other sites thru them? If so, how? This site has really thrown me, therefore I seldom visit it. Help? Christine Emond

    1. [HCGS] Free Charts
    2. Looking for some blank forms that you can fill in during your genealogy research? You can download free, high-quality blank forms online from Ancestry.com and print them on your own printer. These are as nice looking as the commercially available forms. You can obtain a pedigree chart (called an Ancestral Chart), Research Calendar, Research Extract, Correspondence Chart, Source Summary Family Group Sheet and Census Charts. Look down left hand side for various charts after connecting to page. Of Course YOU will need Adobe Acrobat Reader but right on the page is a link. You can do all of this at: <A HREF="http://www.ancestry.com/save/charts/ancchart.htm">http://www.ancestry.com/save/charts/ancchart.htm</A> Consider each day a gift. 1. [HCGS] MEETING
    2. RECasto
    3. Hi Folks, We did have our meeting this morning and I'm sure there were several missing due to the terrible storm we had in this area last night. The old Rt 50 really got hit hard and the intersection of Rt 19 and 98 that goes up to the United Hospital Center. John Hines discussed the workshop on FTM which will be held on the 16th of August at the Caperton Center, West Main Street, Clarksburg, WV. Registration will start at 8:30 and the class will start at 9:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. There will be a one hour break for lunch and everyone will be on their own to get their lunch at this workshop. There will be no charge for this workshop. If you think you will be coming please send John Hines an e-mail at jhines@ma.rr.com Darrell also discussed the upcoming trip to Washington, DC on the 7th of October. He has 24 signed up to go and if you want to go please contact him at dew38@msn.com. We need at least 30 people going. Talk to your friends and maybe they might like to go just to do some sightseeing if they are not into genealogy. Diana Johnson also discussed the front of the newsletter and how ragged it was getting. She will be seeing if she can get some students interested in making a new front for it when school starts up again. The picnic will be on the 12th of August at 5:00 P.M. at Lake Floyd which is on RT 50, west of Clarksburg, WV. The society furnishes hot dogs and hamburgers with the rest of us bringing a covered dish and we all have a nice time. The next meeting will be on the 1st of August at 10:00 A.M. on the second floor of the Waldomore, Clarksburg, WV. If you haven't looked at the Clarksburg newspaper you might want to do so and see the damage the storms have done to the Clarksburg Harrison Public Library and all of the books that have been damaged. David did not stay at the meeting this morning as he needed to get back to the library to help with the cleanup. A couple of book brochures were left at the Waldomore since the last meeting and maybe some of you might be interested in them. "Descendants of William S. Richards of Harrison County, West Virginia." There are chapters on the early Richards settlers in Harrison Co, Richards Fort and our Revolutionary ancestors. This book is being published on a subscription basis. For further information contact Edward Richards, 914 Ann Drive, Marshall, MO 65340. (660)886-3123 or e-mail him at Edward Richards richards@cdsinet.net The other brochure was on the "Gibson and Related Familes, 728 pages 1700's -1900's. $35.00 "The Dever and Related Families $40.00 995 pages "The Linder Family" 211 pages $25.00 Contact Penny Linder penlin304@aol.com http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jmlinder609 Phone 304-598-3714 Ruby Casto Membership Chairman of HCGS recasto@iolinc.net
