    3. GoogleWVVRR. That will get you to the WV website for birth, marriage and death records. Then select death records. Then select Marion County. Then select the year your grandmother died. Browsing those death records will give you an idea of what cemeteries were served by R. L. Cunningham.    Check her near relatives to see where they were buried.   Put together a query for the Marion genweb site.  Google WVGENWEB to find the site. Put together a query to share with other HCGS members and perhaps someone will find some record in addition to what you have found. Locating an obituary would be a good prospect. Is the church known?  Are church records available?  Published? Someone made the decision to bury her wherever she was buried.  If she had no living near relatives, there is a good chance that folks at her church made the final decisions.   Did she own any property?  The census may tell you if she was renting or owned. Did she have a will?  Probate records may tell you more about her.   Make careful notes on wherever you search.  Also record the date that you make these searches. More records are being converted and made available all the time.  Make lists and check them twice.  Search methodically and orderly and these brick walls will usually come tumbling down.   A relative recently found interesting information in a Florida state census conducted in 1945.   Does anyone know if WV conducted state census?    My genealogy society here in Mississippi published several school census.   Does anyone know if WV conducted school census?    The school census here seem to have been conducted at the time of WW I probably because of significant growth in the area for people coming here to work in the shipyards and the need to build new schools to accommodate the influx of people.   Property records, tax lists, voter registration, city directories, and other records are becoming accessible.  Don’t give up.  Persistence pays off.  Dave Kuhl 210 Glen Eagles Drive Ocean Springs, MS 39564-9041 e-mail: [email protected] ----- Original Message ---- From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thu, September 9, 2010 8:07:31 AM Subject: Re: [HCGS] Question ? 3. I switched over to MS Outlook in June and think it is worse than OE... For the last year or more when I go auto MS updates it would switch over to MS Outlook as the default and I would have to manually set OE as the default Then...... I had a good number of Folders lost in Outlook explorer I think just before June. I just got an email from a guy who said his folders in OE disappeared on him after I emailed him in January. I have tried Mozilla Thunderbird in the last few months with some gmail accounts and I am not sure I like it. Does any know of this is a problem with OE possibly when one upgrades to VER 8 of IE which I just learned a few days ago does not have OE in it. Any oen can help out with some background or knowledge or suggestions Thanks Paul
