He appears to have died in York,SC... My friend descends thru Patrick's eldest son, Alexander Frank Hays, (b.1770,in Ireland & d.1863, Morristown,TN) who was married to Nancy Gilbert. David's ggGrandfather was Robert Hays (b.1806 in IN, d. 1875, McKee,Jackson Co.,KY) who was married to Nancy Parrott and possibly a Sarah Fullington. If anyone has further info about the family's roots in Ireland, it would be greatly appreciated, as David & his daughter are taking a trip to Ireland in the next few weeks...
