Rachael, I would be interested in knowing the names and dates of the children of Nicholas and Alse's Hays' children. Because of destroyed censuses, I have been unable to track further back than my John Hays, born 1783 or 1785 in TN, who with wife Mary/Polly moved from Hardin Co, TN (in 1819) with children Hugh, Henry, Sylvestor, James, Ann, and Washington to Jackson, Cass, Buchanan counties in MO. I am looking for a connection to the other side of the "brick wall', or at least rule out this connection.. I welcome any other possible connections, including one to the family of Wm. E. Flannery/Flanary, Ann's husband. This family moved from Andrew Co , MO to Oregon (1850's), then to Petaluma, Sonoma California (later 1850's - 70's).
