However, it lists his children, Martha, Harvey, Leroy, Walburn, David, Marion, Albert, and John as being born in MO, with their father, who would be William G. Hays, being born in KY, so that information conflicts. I believe William's mother's name is Elizabeth. I can't find any information earlier than that on MO, KY, or IL censuses. If anyone has any information or can help, it would be greatly appreciated. I've just started researching and I'm sure there are lots of tips out there I don't know about. Thank you!
