Purd Hays did back in the 70's and 80's. There is way to much info in this research paper to write up here. It goes all the way back to a Nicholas Hays born in Ireland and immigrated to the United States in 1746 .. James Hays (my ancester) is one of nine children of Nicholas & Alse Hays,(it says all the children were born in Bedford or Campbell counties, Virginia) I have all the names and dates of the children of Nicholas and Else Hays. James Hays Married Elizabeth (Clayton) and they had 12 children, all mostly born in Green County, Tennessee. From there...many of the children of James and Elizabeth Hays moved on into Arkansas and Indiana. I have names and dates on their kids.. One of their sons is my ancester Enoch Monroe Hays who married Margaret Carny (sp?) and lived in Crawford County, Arkansas. I have the names, dates and places of all Enoch's brothers and sisters..some lived in Arkansas. I can scan the papers I have and send them to you in an email if you would like to see if any of the names I have is any of your people. Thanks for your reply, that was fast :) Rachael
