From what I have found so far, this General went to Allegheny College in Meadville,Pa. in 1840. This is my hometown. Recently I found an old certificate about my great-grandfather George Hays belonging to the Knights of Pythias,same one that Alexander belong too. George was also from the Pittsburg area.
