I was told that my Ezekiel Hays Jr. and his brother Elias Hays were cousins to President Rutherford B. Hays. Ezekiel Hays Sr. was b.between 1740 and1761. Wedo not know where. He died between 1831 and 1839 in Pike, Co. IN. He first showed up in Pike, Co. IN. in the 1820 census and at that time him and his wife were both in the 45 and older range. They had one son Ezekiel Hays Jr. who was 17 and a daughter in the 10 but under 16 range name unknown. Ezekiel G. Hays Jr. was born in Pike, Co. IN. in 1803. I hope that Ezekiel G.
