John F Hays born approx 1810 in Ireland, living on Prince Edward Island with wife Ann (born approx 1817 in Ireland). All their children born on PEI. John and Ann immigrated to Canada from Ireland between 1830-1840. Don't know whether they married in Ireland or Canada. Canada census information shows the name became "Hayes" in late 1800s.
