My haydens are English and Scottish and immigrated into St. Mary's, Md. Biewers Antique Acres wrote: I have had info posted all over the internet looking for other descendents of this line and have had no others that had our lineage. Yes, sounds like the Elliot's were in with the Hayden family. My aunt has more of this info so am going to pass on your email to her. She is in NM. She probably has more dates than I do as her uncle did quite a bit of research in his days and his daughter has his stuff in Idaho. Rufus Elliot and Lydia Hayden had a daughter, Permelia, that died as an infant. I like to have complete records, so I'm looking for all children/siblings not just my direct line. But, I am trying to firm up their daughter Edith. Once I firm up Edith then I will enter in data about her siblings. I'm about certain that I descend from Edith and Daniel Elliott's daughter Harriot Elliott/Stinchfield. It sure appears that perhaps Daniel and Rufus were brothers? I'd love to share more detailed information with you, Sharon. Hope to hear from more people who have information on this Jonathan and Lydia Young. I sent for some bible records and birth/baptism records and what I received confused me. I'm going to ask the researcher who sent them to double-check and verify this data, but before I do that I want to figure out *who* they sent me. make sense? I have a copy of what appears to be an index card with: (words in {} are mine) ************** Hayden Richard 5 (Clement 4, Samuel 3, Jonathan 2, John 1) born Nov 7, 1741 died {blank} married Mar 12, 1761 (O-Rec.) {what does that mean?} Mary Jordan daughter of {blank} "Richard Hayden, an adult of 25 years of Braintree, of which place he is a native," baptized at Christ Church Dec 6, 1767. Children of Richard and Mary born at Braintree, baptized at Christ Church Dec 7, 1767 Elisha, age bapt, aged 6 years (born Oct 25, 1762, m April 12, 1783 at Gray, ME. Hannah Noble, etc.) (See Noble {?}) Jonathan " , aged 5 years Richard " , aged 4 years Samuel " , aged 2 years Mary " , aged 9 months ************************* There are three more index cards in these copies....If you want details on these just ask. But here's the names at the top of these cards: Hayden Josiah 5 (Jonathan 4, Samuel 3, Jonathan 2, John 1) Clement 5 (Clement 4, Samuel 3, Jonathan 2, John 1) Lt. William 5 (Nehemiah 4-3-2, John 1) and at the bottom on incompletely copied cards.... Nehemiah 5 (Nehemiah 4-3-2, John 1) Elijah 5 (Elijah 4, Nehemiah 3-2, John 1) ************************************************** In addition, I have bible records that have Jonathan Hayden Jr. born 1793 which is a year after my Edith was born. I'm trying to figure out who this Jonathan was...married to Nancy Thompson. But still hoping for Edith born about 1792 to pop up. I saw the reference to Jonathan (married to Lydia Young) being a Mayflower descendant. Anyone know who that Mayflower passenger was? Thanks for the help in wading through this paperwork. :) Daphne ----- Original Message ----- From: "KENT HAYDEN" <ppkkplus@verizon.net> To: <hayden@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2008 12:30 PM Subject: Re: [HAYDEN] Jonathan Hayden and Lydia Young >I have dates of the Haydens from Richard on down.
