Hayden and Mary Jane Solomon.  Family has always told me that Nancy Ellen was a cousin to Benjamin.     Looking at marriage records in Vigo county Indiana, I find that John W. Hayden married Mary Jane Solomon on 27 October, 1853. Looking on the 1850 Vigo co. Ind. census I do see a Mary Solomon at about age 14 living with a family and that she may be an orphan. The census listed her with Thomas Hanam age 32  born Pa. wife Ann son Samuel.  I am unsure if the spelling of Hanam is correct or if Mary is related in any way to this family.     I have been unable to find John W. and Mary Jane Hayden on the 1860 census, however they are found on the 1870 and 80 census of Cass County Indiana.     Names of children on 1880 are Elizabeth A., Jery, E.(That name should be Perry),  NANCY E, Viola, Peter, Alice and Henry all said to be born in Indiana.     In 1870 they had John W. , William, Elizabeth, Perry, James E., ELLEN, Charles F. and Viola   Using Cass co. Ind records I find that John W. Hayden Sr. died in about 1881.   Marriage records for Cass co. show that Mary J. Hayden m. George W. Benson, 25 Nov. 1882- Cemetery records show a George W. Benson 1858- 1886   Nancy Ellen Hayden m. Joseph D. Fry or Frye on 6 July 1884   Viola Hayden m. Stephen Rush 10 Aug 1897, there are about 18 Hayden marriages listed in Cass co records   I later find that in 1900-1910 Perry Hayden is living in Washita , Union twp. Oklahoma     Some where I found records for a Cemetery in Jones, Oklahoma Co. Oklahoma for a Mary Jane Benson, 5 Oct, 1834 to  29 June 1906.  This maybe the former Mary Jane Solomon Hayden. I  read the the Cemetery was abandoned.
